Summer Camp 2026 Registration Timeline

No matter what your child loves — sports, aquatics, STEAM, or outdoor adventure — the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago has a Summer Camp for that! Read on to learn more about our Summer Camp pricing and 2026 registration timelines. 

Early registration for Summer Camp opens via YMCA Community on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 8 a.m. for households: 

  • Who hold a YMCA of Metro Chicago Family Membership. 
  • Or, who participated in 2025 Summer Camp. 
  • Or, who participated in Before & After School Care for the 2025–2026 school year. 

In 2026, households with an active Family Membership from the beginning of your camp registration process through Monday, August 31, 2026 will receive priority pricing!  

Y Summer Camp officially launches for all other audiences on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at 8 a.m. To get both early access and the best pricing, consider obtaining or migrating to a Family Membership to claim your spot before they’re gone! 

Important notes: 

  • Your Family Membership cannot be placed on hold during the period from your start date through Monday, August 31, 2026. 
  • Priority pricing cannot be applied after you complete Summer Camp registration; you must obtain the membership before you begin the registration process. 
    • You can obtain the membership on the same day that you begin the registration process. 
  • There will be no priority pricing for Summer Camp at YMCA Camp Duncan and Goethe Elementary School as well as Preschool Summer Camp at Camp Duncan. 

We recommend that you preview our 2026 Y Summer Camp Program Guide on our webpage before registration begins! Please note that our Family Membership is the only audience that will receive priority pricing. If you are not already a Family Membership holder, consider switching today!  

In addition to priority pricing, Family Membership holders enjoy full facility access, family fitness classes, open gym time, and programs that keep your crew active and connected — all year long. Plus, we’re adding new family programs at every Y hub to give you even more ways to stay active and connected.
