Meet Our Day Camp Team: Arianna Arebalo

Arianna Arebalo, one of the Sage YMCA’s Day Camp Counselors, is from Crystal Lake, Illinois, and works in before- and after-care in McHenry! This is Arianna’s fourth summer at Day Camp. This summer at the Y, Arianna is excited to have dance parties with the Day Campers and going on field trips!

Q: Why did you choose to become a Counselor for the Y? 

A: I love returning to see all our camp babies’ growth and to meet all new friends. 

Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does? 

A: I love the communities it serves and the new families I gain.

Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out? 

A: I’m colorblind.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)? 

A: Teleportation because I hate traffic.

Q: What’s the last song you listened to? 

A: “The Color Violet” by Tory Lanez.

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list? 

A: To go skydiving!
