YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago Partners with Alkeme Health
CHICAGO, January, 5, 2023 — This new year, the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is giving the gift of peace — of mind — and the gift of generational health! Introducing: Alkeme.
Founded by former NFL champion Ryan Mundy in 2020 in response to a lack of available mental-health resources for Black individuals and families, Alkeme is wellness made for you. Alkeme centers the Black experience with content, tools, and resources tuned for Black joy, history, and growth. And now, YMCA of Metro Chicago members have access to a special promotion: one month of Alkeme Gold – for free!

The Alkeme app features a culturally-centric library of 250+ pieces of audio and video content created by clinical and mindfulness experts. Alkeme educates and provides their communities with health & wellbeing tools needed to heal, empower, and thrive today, while improving generational health for tomorrow.

We must acknowledge positive wellness resources like Alkeme, which provides a digital platform that is open and available to all ages, removes the negative stigma, and assists in overcoming the barriers related to mental health and well-being.”
