Molly Silverman Named YMCA Chief Growth & Engagement Officer

CHICAGO, July 28, 2023 — The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago announced earlier this week that Molly Silverman, who has been serving as the Y’s Interim Chief Impact Officer, has been appointed as the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago’s Chief Growth & Engagement Officer. 

In this reimagined role, Molly will continue to oversee the Development; Policy, Research & Evaluation; and Brand Strategy & Marketing functions — now collectively known as the Strategic Engagement business area. 

Since joining the Y in early 2023, she has been overseeing these key functions during a time of organizational transition. Molly has extensive experience advancing social impact through the development of innovative social-enterprise models, cross-sector partnerships, and effective revenue-generation and communications strategies. Prior to joining the YMCA, she served as Chief Strategic Engagement Officer at YWCA Metropolitan Chicago, where she oversaw strategy development related to fundraising and communications, corporate partnerships, donor and volunteer engagement, and special events.
