Give the Gift of Camp!

Looking for a holiday gift that goes beyond the usual toys and tech? Give the gift of adventure, growth, and unforgettable memories with a YMCA Overnight Camp stay for summer 2026!

Here’s why this experience-based present is a game-changer for youth and families alike:

1. It’s a Gift That Lasts Beyond the Holidays
While most presents lose their novelty by January, a YMCA Overnight Camp stay builds anticipation for months and delivers lasting memories. From kayaking and archery to hiking and campfire stories under the stars, campers carry these experiences with them long after summer ends.

2. Camp Builds Confidence and Independence
YMCA Overnight Camps are designed to help kids grow. Campers learn to navigate new environments, make decisions, and take care of themselves — all in a safe, supportive setting. It’s a powerful way to foster independence and self-esteem.

3. It’s a Screen-Free, Nature-Filled Adventure
In a world dominated by screens, YMCA Overnight Camps offer a much-needed break. Kids unplug and reconnect with nature through activities like archery, hiking, swimming, and high ropes courses. Overnight Camp provides a chance to explore the outdoors, build friendships, and rediscover play.

4. There’s a Camp for Every Kid
Whether your child is a thrill-seeker, nature lover, or needs a more inclusive environment, YMCA of Metro Chicago has a camp to match. YMCA Camp Duncan and YMCA Camp MacLean offer traditional and specialty programs filled with new challenges and exciting experiences! YMCA Camp Independence offers a unique experience for youth and adults who have spina bifida, providing the chance to learn new skills and engage in development opportunities amongst the fun of classic camp activities.

5. It’s Easy to Gift and Plan Ahead
YMCA of Metro Chicago makes it simple to plan for summer 2026. Camp Duncan Overnight Camp registration is now open, and families can sign up for updates about our other camps and view brochures online. Gifting a camp stay this holiday season means that you’re ahead of the game and giving a present that’s both meaningful and practical!
