Celebrating the 2025 Naperville Mayor’s Interfaith Community Breakfast
Earlier this month, the Fry Family YMCA kicked off the holiday season at the annual Naperville Mayor’s Interfaith Community Breakfast!
Community leaders, families, students, and Y supporters came together for a morning of reflection and celebration. The program featured prayers and moments of reflection, musical performances from Waubonsie Valley High School students and local choirs, and remarks from Naperville Mayor Scott Wehrli.
Keynote speaker Trisha Prabhu inspired attendees with a message about leadership and empathy, while YMCA board members highlighted the organization’s impact on youth and families. The event concluded with a spirited rendition of “Lean on Me,” leaving the audience energized and united.
“At a time where everything can feel so loud and extreme, what we have in front of us today is actually pretty simple,” said Mayor Wehrli in his welcome speech. “It’s all of us, in one room. And we’re here for one reason: to share this moment and to appreciate one another. To make a commitment — or a re-commitment — to being a better neighbor, a better friend, a better member of this community.”
Thank you to all of our community members that joined us for this special event! Every speaker, attendee, and sponsor helped invest in a brighter future, rooted in faith and growing in community. Proceeds from this event support the Fry Family YMCA, ensuring that the Y has the resources it needs to care for the individuals, families, and communities we are privileged to serve.
"We are so thankful to everyone who joined us and to the sponsors who made this breakfast possible,” said Erika Wood, Executive Director, Fry Family YMCA. “Because of your generosity, the Fry Family Y can continue to be a cornerstone of the Naperville community, strengthening families, nurturing youth, and promoting wholistic wellness. Your support helps us ensure that the Y remains a place where every individual feels connected, supported, and empowered to thrive.”
