Meet Our Day Camp Team: Mallory Munzel

Mallory Munzel, Youth Development Director of the Lake View YMCA, was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she also attended the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). After graduating, she moved to Chicago and began working at the Y for a little over five years. Her favorite part of working at the Y is connecting with families.

Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does? 

A: I love how the Y strives to support and meet the needs of the community. 

Q: What is your favorite part about Day Camp at the Y? 

A: How fun it is! And field trips! 

Q: What is your favorite memory from Day Camp at the Y?

A: Summer 2019, we did a 4th of July fashion show, where the campers dressed their counselors. 

Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out? 

A: I love puzzles! 

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be? 

A: Reading Minds! 

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list? 

A: Skydiving.
