Bob Haney - Board of Directors Spotlight

Bob has served on the Elmhurst YMCA Board for 1.5 years. He grew up in Prospect Heights, IL and lived in Chicago before moving to Elmhurst. When his daughter Sloan was born in 2017, he and his wife, Kristy, moved to Elmhurst to plan their roots. Bob wanted to get involved in the Elmhurst-area and knew that the YMCA mission fit perfectly with his personal mission of being active in the community. Sloan has loved her swimming lessons at the YMCA since she was 6 months old. Boband Kristy are expecting their second child due any day now (if it hasn’t already happened), so Sloan will be able to pass on all of the swimming skills she has learned at the Y!  

Bob works for Grogan Hesse & Uditsky, an Elmhurst-based law firm that specializes in small business corporate work and estate planning. Outside of work and volunteering, Bob loves to spending time with his family (which is good because there is a lot in the area) and is a big Bears and Cubs fan. Bob enjoys volunteering because it gives him a sense of giving back. It also lets him be involved in something bigger than himself that can truly make an impact in the lives of others.
