Summer Overnight Camp

Welcome to YMCA Camp Duncan, where children and teens make lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, build self-esteem and experience the summer of a lifetime.

Overnight camp is the pinnacle of the summer experience. Something magical happens when a child is able to stay at an overnight camp. YMCA Camp Duncan gives children ages 7-17 a safe environment to be challenged to master the high ropes course or to improve their swimming skills. With the great outdoors as a background, staff design activities to teach life lessons like persistence in completing a difficult task, creativity when solving problems, and working together to achieve a common goal.

The cabin experience shows children how to live cooperatively by sharing chores and respecting each other’s differences. Around the campfire, campers are encouraged to tell stories and share their opinions, and be open-minded and supportive as they listen to others.

Campers live in air-conditioned cabins with restroom facilities located nearby.  Campers are grouped according to age and gender with 10-14 other campers and one or more counselors.  Always under the supervision of our college-aged staff, campers choose and attend activities according to their interests. Accredited by the American Camp Association, our exprienced staff ensures that the health and safety of our campers is our top priority.

Our personalized programming approach to our stunning 300 acres of woodlands, nature trails and lakeside setting, we have endless opportunities for campers to unplug, learn, laugh and make memories that last a lifetime.

“I just think it is a positive experience that all kids should have at least once in their lifetimes!” - Camper Parent
