Fitness Classes

The YMCA offers a wide variety of fee based and free fitness classes for members. We also allow non-members to register for many of these classes (some require registration and fees for non-members). You can find all class descriptions and information below:


YOUTH FITNESS

Kids Marathon

The Sage YMCA Kids Marathon is a summerlong fitness program for kids ages 5-12. Walk or run 1 mile on your own with adult supervision 25 times over the summer. Record your mileage on your Kids Marathon log sheet. Then, on Race Day, come pick up your race bib and race shirt, and run your final 1.2 miles with all of the other participants. Every kid who finishes the 1.2 mile run will receive a finisher medal. This event is open to members and non-members.


SMALL GROUP TRAINING & FITNESS WORKSHOPS

Deep Water Cadence Running

Deep Water Cadence Running is a deep-water running class that uses evidence based, cadence specific workouts to achieve peak athletic performance. Whether you’re training for a run, recovering from an injury or prone to injuries, deep-water running is an impact-free way to engage your entire body while building up your endurance and cardiovascular conditioning. Teresa Triche, two-time Olympic qualifier is known for her Deep Water Cadence Running, which has helped countless runners, soccer players, NBA runners, Navy officers, and Wounded Warriors veterans recover from injuries and get in the best shape of their lives. There are no pre-qualifications to participate (other than being able to swim comfortably in deepwater), and floatation belts are provided by the Y. Click here to register

Lose Weight and Keep It Off

This 8-week training program will keep you accountable in a supportive group environment. Each participant will receive a fitness assessment at the beginning and end of the program, nutritional guidance and group workouts. Workouts will be led by Certified Personal Trainers and limited to 12 participants per group.

Triathlon Training Program

Are you looking for motivation this triathlon training season? Then this program is for you!Train with our Sage YMCA certified Personal Trainers and Triathlon coaches to help you prepare for your next Triathlon. This 9-week program will include a free entry to our Triathlon Training Workshop and a weekly one-hour workout that will include 2 Triathlon events per workout. This program will help the beginner triathlete as well as help improve the advanced triathlete’s racing performance.

Y Wellness Consultations

We want to help you reach your fitness goals. That’s why we designed our free Y Wellness Consultations to help you reach your health and wellness goals in the most effective and safe ways. Must be ages 8+ and with a parent/guardian present. In your consultation, you will:

E-Consultations

Short on time? Please complete a short questionnaire of your interests, goals, schedules, and habits. A Sage YMCA Wellness Consultant will email you back with recommendations on classes, personal training options and workout tips as well as be able to answer any fitness questions you may have. One-on-One Personal Training

Achieve and exceed your health and fitness goals with the support and guidance of one of our nationally certified personal trainers. Partner Personal Training

Get fit with a friend! Partner personal training involves one or more weekly partner training sessions designed to help you achieve your fitness goals. One of the best ways to stick to a fitness program is to have someone to hold you accountable and provide encouragement. The combined accountability of your partner and your trainer provides an extra measure of success.
