Now that you�ve immersed yourself in The Blue Paradox at the Museum of Science and Industry, it�s time to turn the tide on the ocean plastic crisis � and the Y is ready to dive in and help by engaging you in one of the best water activities: swimming! With generous funding support from SC Johnson, the YMCA of Metro Chicago is providing 1,000 Chicagoland youth with one month of free swim lessons designed just for you and your skill level in and around water.

Water Works is a 12-week "Learn and Earn" program that is designed to unlock a whole new world of careers in and around water. Can�t swim? No problem; we�ll teach you! No swimsuit? We�ve got you covered! All program supplies are provided at no cost. Participants will also be paid a stipend of $16.20+/hour!
