Y Summer Camp is back on in Niles!

The Y is proud to announce a brand new partnership with the Niles Center to bring back in-person traditional Summer Camp as an option for local families. Starting Monday, July 13, 2020, the Y Summer Camp will be offered out of the Niles Center facility located at 999 Civic Center Drive.

Camp officially kicks off at 9 am daily until 4 pm. However, we also provide extended hours for before and aftercare from 7 am to 6 pm at no extra cost to assist working parents. Kids aged 5 to 12 years will spend their days exploring, learning, making friends, and building lasting memories - a welcome change of pace after months of being housebound. Our counselors have built in a ton of outdoor activities and engaging programming to keep young bodies and minds active all summer long.

The YMCA camp staff has also spent many hours preparing an in-person summer camp experience that is both safe and fun for everyone. We have adopted the same successful health and safety measures that we have been using for our Emergency Child Care Program to our day camp programs. And our staff have been trained and are required to abide by our new safety protocol, which was crafted according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the American Camp Association’s latest guidelines on social distancing, cleaning, preparedness, and emotional well-being.

Due to social distancing requirements, spaces will be limited this year. So don’t delay, reserve your spot today. Email [email protected] to register or book online. And get ready for a fun-filled summer at the Y!

The collaboration between the Y and the Niles Center is the first to be announced since the regrettable closures of the Leaning Tower YMCA and the Lattof YMCA at the end of May. We continue to work hard to establish creative partnerships within the community that will enable us to continue serving local families.
