McKay Elementary Takes First Place at the 2018 Dancing With Class Event
On February 7, Chicago Public School students from 12 YMCA Community Schools (Y-CSI) performed in front of their proud families and Y-CSI staff at the annual Dancing with Class event, which took place inside the Chicago Cultural Center's GAR Hall. Over the past three months, the students worked hard to learn and perfect the Merengue, Foxtrot, Borchata, Swing, and Paso Doble from professionals with May I Have This Dance — one of Chicago’s leading ballroom dance studios.
McKay Elementary was awarded with the Overall Championship trophy, but every dancer participating in the program is a true winner. Congratulations to the Y-CSI staff who worked so hard to make this program happen and to all of our amazing dancers!
