About Us

YMCA Camp MacLean has been proudly providing camp programming for children, teens, and adults since 1941. Programs available include a resident summer camp, outdoor education, weekend campouts, family programming, and much more. If you have any interest in exploring these options and visiting us at camp, please don't hesitate to reach out.

In 1939, Mr. and Mrs. M.H. MacLean of Evanston, Illinois made a generous gift to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago to create a summer camp for boys in memory of their son John Bartlett MacLean. YMCA Camp MacLean opened in the summer of 1941 and is located in beautiful southeast Wisconsin, one mile east of the city of Burlington. Throughout the years the camp has served tens of thousands of youth from all over the Chicagoland area and southeast Wisconsin. Our programs have grown from a summer camp for boys to a year-round camping center serving youth, families, and many different organizations.

Our mission is to provide all of our campers and guests a safe, quality experience. Whether you are looking for a summer camp for your child, a place for outdoor education for your school, or a camping location for your group retreat, we pledge our complete dedication to providing the best service.
