Meet Our Day Camp Team: Morgan Griffith

Morgan Griffith, Youth and Family Manager at the Indian Boundary and Fry Family YMCAs, is from Saint Charles, Missouri, where she went to Saint Charles Community College for two years before transferring to Northwestern Missouri State University. She has a Bachelor’s degree in human service with a minor in recreation. She has worked with youth for more than 10 years at three different YMCA locations: O’Fallon Missouri YMCA, YMCA of Greater Kansas, and, since October 2022, the Indian Boundary YMCA. 

Q: What is your favorite part of working at the YMCA? 

A: Meeting new people, and working with kids.

Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does? 

A: Community outreach, and helping people in need.

Q: What is your favorite part about Day Camp at the Y? 

A: Field trip days!

Q: What is your favorite memory from Day Camp at the Y?

A: Getting to know the kids in your group as a camp counselor, and seeing them grow during the summer.

Q: What are you most proud of in your career so far? 

A: Seeing the kids I have worked with growing into incredible individuals and learning new things and becoming kind, respectful, and responsible individuals.

Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out? 

A: I can do the worm.

Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)? 

A: Flying because I get everywhere faster. Don’t have to be stuck in traffic.

Q: What’s the last song you listened to? 

A: “Half of My Hometown” [by Kelsea Ballerini].

Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list? 

A: Go to every MLB baseball park.
