The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming active and developing healthy habits they will continue throughout their lives. In a Y sports program, your child will meet friends, learn new skills, improve his or her fitness and most importantly have fun! Whether it's gaining the confidence that comes with learning a new sport, building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, or refining and improving skills, participating in sports at the Y is a bout building the whole athlete, inside and out. YOUTH SPORTS

Soccer Level 1 (ages 3-5)
The Greater LaGrange YMCA soccer clinic is a developmental program for all youth players and all skill levels. Our trained and knowledgeable coaches will develop the physical skills and techniques your child need to enjoy the game of soccer for life. All of our classes promote competing in a fun and friendly environment. We focus on the whole child. 
Basketball Level 1 (ages 3-5)
This class is designed to work on the basic fundamentals of basketball such as passing, dribbling and movement. These classes will focus on hand-eye coordination and introduce the ideas of sportsmanship and team play. Click here to register
Youth Boxing (ages 10-13)
Join us for this high-energy class. Kids will learn the fundamentals of boxing and how to train in the disciplined style of the boxing pros. All fitness levels are encouraged to participate. 

YOUTH SPORTS LEAGUES

Basketball Leagues (grades PreK-8)
Y Our leagues are focused on developing your child’s skills and overall enjoyment for the sport of basketball. Teams will have experienced and trained coaches for all age levels. All teams will have one set practice night per week and one game a week with a playoff tournament at the end of the year (8 games, plus playoffs). Practice schedules will be announced. All teams will be guaranteed one practice the week prior to the league start date. Grades 2 & 3 are coed, with Grades 4-12 having separate leagues for boys and girls. K-1st Grade play at Indian Boundary YMCA, 2nd-8th grade play at Elmhurst YMCA.  Click here to register
Basketball (YBall) (grades PreK-8)
Are you looking for an opportunity for your child to learn the fundamentals of basketball while competing in a fun and friendly environment? Then our YBall league is the perfect fit for you and your family. Our YBall leagues are focused on developing your child’s skills and overall enjoyment for the sport of basketball. Teams will have experienced and trained coaches, with IHSA-certified referees for every game, for all age levels. All teams will have one practice a week and one game a week, with a playoff tournament at the end of the year. Estimated 10-14 total games. Check our website later this fall for registration details. Flag Football Leagues (ages 6-10)
YMCA Flag Football is a recreational program designed for coed players new to the sport of football as well as those not quite ready for tackle football. Our focus is on football education, participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Games played on Sunday at York High School in Elmhurst.

T-Ball Leagues (ages 4-7)
This purified gem of a program is actually a combination of t-ball and coach pitch. Kids get the best of both worlds. Teams will be formed and the fundamentals of the game will be established and accounted for. In addition to zeroing in on the key aspects of the game of baseball—like throwing, catching and fielding—kids will begin to understand the intricacies of how the game is supposed to be played. A huge learning curve will be implemented. 
Volleyball Leagues (grades 2-8)
Experienced coaches will focus on nothing but skills that include serving, passing, setting, hitting and the rules of the game in a fun and non-competitive environment. Teams will have one practice during the week with games on Sunday afternoons. Games played in Elmhurst.
TEEN SPORTS LEAGUES
