ALERT-Temporary Closure Due To a Case of COVID-19

A staff member has tested positive for COVID-19,  The staff member will self isolate for 10 days per CDC reccomendations and we have asked the individual not to return to work until the completed the required quarantine period. Furthermore we have reached out to all those that may have interacted directly with the individual and advised them to take the necesary precautions, including taking a test. These individuals will not be permitted to work until they have completed the required quarantine period as well. 

Our initial assessment of the exposure risk indicates the last day the individual was present in the center was January 13, 2021.  The individual visited several areas of the center and came in contact with a number of people.  For this reason and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to temporarily close the Greater LaGrange YMCA for 10 days. The Greater LaGrange YMCA will reopen on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 7:00 a.m.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused, but the health and safety of our members and staff must remain our top priority. 

Please continue to monitor yourself and the members of your household for any symptom of COVID-19 including cough, fever, sore throat and/or respiratory distress.  If you are experiencing symptoms, please quarantine at home, contact your physician and seek testing.  The Illinos Department of Public Health is offering testing at a number of sites which can be found at www.idph.illinois.gov/testing.
