Meet Our Day Camp Team: Elizabeth Washburn
Elizabeth Washburn, Sports & Gymnastics Program Manager at the Buehler YMCA, is a former gymnast at the University of Utah, where she was first team athletic and academic All-American! She earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports science and her masters in business administration.
Q: What do you like most about the work that the Y does?
A: Sharing a love of sports and challenging yourself with the kids.
Q: What are you most looking forward to this Summer at the Y?
A: Seeing all the campers improve their sports, learn new things, and make friends.
Q: What’s one thing people don’t know about you that they would be surprised to find out?
A: I owned a fitness company for 13 years and have lived and trained people in more than seven countries.
Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be (and why)?
A: Time travel — I always feel like I have too much to do and not enough time.
Q: What’s one thing on your bucket list?
A: [One day I would like to] be a spectator at the Olympics.

A: There’s a 2-foot height difference between me and my husband
