State Representatives Visit with YMCA Staff
State Representative Mary Edly-Allen recently visited the Foglia YMCA. As a bilingual teacher, she was extremely interested in learning more about the Y's early education and afterschool programs. After the tour, she met with Tony Janca, Vice President of Operations and Foglia Executive Director, and Lois Poulos, Membership Experience Director, Amy Kanzler, Program Director, and Jill Edelblute, Senior Director of Government Relations, to discuss the Y's legislative priorities and the need for capital improvements.
Nick Baird, Buehler YMCA Executive Director, and Sheridan Ernst, Senior Specialist of Mission Advancement, met with State Representative Tom Morrison at his district office in Palatine on January 24. They provided Rep. Morrison with an update on the many ways the Buehler Y supports the community and also discussed the need for capital improvements at the Y.
