- If you are planning to canoe on Saturday, we have 10 canoes reserved and are scheduled for a 7 mile trip on the Fox River (approx. 4 hours).  We will plan on meeting at the canoe rental store at 9:30 am on Saturday, Sept. 29. The rate is $50 per canoe.
- Plan on bringing a cooler with a picnic lunch to eat on the river, something to drink, sunscreen and bug repellent. Be sure to secure the coole rin the canoe in case of tipping. Sandals or old sneakers are also a good idea.
- Location information -  www.cmcanoerental.com - C&M Canoe Rental, 3401 East 2062nd Road, Ottawa, IL 61350
- If you can't make this part of the trip, join us for tent camping later in the day!

Trailblazers Camping
Saturday 9/29/18 beginning approximately at 4 pm
Greene Valley Forest Preserve - West Area Parking Lot, Thunderbird Road Bolingbrook, IL 60440

- Trailblazers will convene at the campsite at approximately 4:00 pm on Saturday (time dependent on when the canoeing finishes).
- Dinner will be whenever people arrive and or want. Just a reminder to bring your own food and cooking equipment/utensils.
- It is highly recommend to bring at least one gallon of water from home (the well water there is nasty).
- No need to bring firewood, it is provided by the forest preserve. We will have s'mores for dessert!
- The site is tent only if you are spending the night. There is parking and a fire ring close by as well as pit toilets a short walk away.
- Even though it has been dry, bug spray is always a good idea back in the woods.
- You are welcome to stick arund a cook breakfast but most people pack up and head home after coffee.
- We are at campsite #8 and there is parking near the campsite. Use the park entrance on 79th street and follow to the paved parking lot. On the way to the Ranger House at the far end of the parking lot there is a gravel road that you can use to drive to site #8 (stay to the right). http://www.dupageforest.org/Conservation/Forest_Preserves/Greene_Valley.aspx West Area Parking Lot Thunderbird Road Bolingbrook, IL 60440
