Let’s face it: Family schedules just aren’t what they used to be. Kids trickle in each evening from sports practice, scouts or music lessons. Parents work long hours. Family members eat at different times. Computers, texting and television keep us isolated, even in the hours that we’re together. Sound familiar? Well, fret not. Sage YMCA has come up with great ideas to get the family off the couch and spending time with each other. Join us on the third Friday of the month for some family activities that will bring your family together. These events are open to members and non-members. Check out the website for monthly themes.
Sage YMCA parent night-out program is for parents who may need time to connect socially with each other or with friends, to achieve some balance in life, run errands, or to just have a few hours to read a book and replenish the spirit and mind. On the 2nd Friday of each month, the Sage YMCA sponsors an evening where you can drop off your kids at 6:00pm and not have to pick them up until 9:00pm. The night includes Pizza dinner, various games, crafts and movie. Plus: schoolage children will swim (bring swimsuit and towel). Pre-registration is required by the Thursday prior to event.
