Lake Zurich, IL- Nearly 21 million people, roughly one in seven, are suffering from addiction. Recent increases in the use of opioids have compounded the problem. Locally, we have seen substance use disorders skyrocket, affecting our entire population including young children and the elderly.
Join us on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Foglia YMCA to help raise awareness of the increase of substance use and the relationship to the overall health of individuals, families and our community. The event is free and open to the public. Our panel will feature representatives from:
We will be providing insight into the growing pandemic through education on addiction, prevention, early detection, harm reduction, intervention, treatment options and resources available. Our panel will conduct a question and answer discussion, and provide ample literature and references to take home.
