Chicago, IL – YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago was selected as a charitable partner for the Spartan JV and Varsity Challenge presented by Go Ballistic, which will take place on August 2, 2014, at Frontier Park in Naperville. Children and teenagers will be challenged with varying levels of intense and fun obstacles on the JV 2k and Varsity 4k courses. Sign up using code “YMCASpartan” and receive a FREE race entry ($10 insurance fee required)! Participants and supporters can also make charitable donations and create their own fundraising campaigns to support the Y.
“Giving back is very important to us as an organization,” said Sean Hastings, co-founder of Go Ballistic Events. “YMCA of Metro Chicago is an incredible organization with an incredible mission, and we are humbled to be able to provide some support of their efforts.”
Certified fitness trainers at the Fry Family and Kroehler Ys are offering special classes to help guide participants (ages 5 and up) through exercise stations and obstacles and prepare for this family-friendly event:
