Since kids are less likely to be physically active and engaged in learning during the summer, research shows that children gain weight two to three times faster than during the school year, and often fall behind academically because they don’t have access to out-of-school learning opportunities.
With that in mind, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., the Oswego Family YMCA is hosting a variety of family-friendly activities for the YMCA’s 27th annual Healthy Kids Day®, the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. Healthy Kids Day® is a powerful reminder not to let children idle away their summer days, but instead focus on physical and mental play.
