The Y is the starting point for many youth to learn about becoming active and developing healthy habits they will continue throughout their lives. In a Y sports program, your child will meet friends, learn new skills, improve his or her fitness and most importantly have fun! Whether it's gaining the confidence that comes with learning a new sport, building the positive relationships that lead to good sportsmanship and teamwork, or refining and improving skills, participating in sports at the Y is a bout building the whole athlete, inside and out. Students will learn the elements needed to build a strong foundation for soccer, basketball, t-ball and more, with a different sport spotlighted each week. Click here to register
Basketball Level 1
This class is designed to work on the basic fundamentals of basketball such as passing, dribbling and movement. These classes will focus on hand-eye coordination and introduce the ideas of sportsmanship and team play. Click here to register
Preschool Sports Assorts
Sign your child up for an interactive sports class where he or she will learn about many different sports while developing large and small motor skills in a fun, group setting. Click here to register
Each class introduces kids to a variety of basic skills and equipment featuring a sampling of sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, football and floor hockey.
Basketball Level 1 and 2
Players will focus on improving passing, dribbling and shooting skills. Sessions focus on teaching players new offensive moves by developing the footwork and ball skills necessary to be successful. Skill sessions are great for players in any of our leagues, or for any player who wants to improve his/her basketball skills. Click here to register
The YMCA strives to provide a quality homeschool, physical education program. Students will rotate through a variety of sports and training disciplines with a focus on fundamental skills and team building. Click here to register
Tae Kwon Do
Students gain a strong foundation in this ancient art of self-defense. Taekwondo develops discipline, concentration, confidence and leadership, while improving flexibility, speed, strength and stamina. Family participation in classes is encouraged. Uniforms are not required for students with no belt or a white belt, but are required for belt testing and for participation at the yellow belt and higher levels. Participants will learn the basics of one of the fastest growing sports. Serving and basic movement are taught. Participants should be ready to move!

YBL Basketball (grades K-12)
The Y Youth Basketball League is the perfect fit for you and your family. Our leagues are focused on developing your child’s skills and overall enjoyment for the sport of basketball. Teams will have experienced and trained coaches for all age levels. All teams will have one set practice night per week and one game per week with a playoff tournament at the end of the year. Practice schedules will be announced. All teams will be guaranteed one practice the week prior to the league start date. Grades K-1st are coed. Grades 2nd-12th will have separate leagues for boys and girls. Games may be played at the Fry Family YMCA, local area schools, or nearby YMCAs. Click here to register
This is a competitive basketball league that gives boys and girls a chance to go beyond our YBL League. There is one practice during the week; time will be determined after registration. Games are played on Saturdays. There is a single-elimination tournament at the end of the season.
Youth Basketball Developmental League (grades 2-8)
Basketball skills and fundamentals development program for aspiring basketball players of all skill levels and ages. This summer program provides the opportunity to focus solely on basketball’s most important fundamentals and skills, without spending valuable practice time trying to organize your team for a weekly game. Workouts will focus on providing the opportunity for all players to learn new offensive moves by developing the footwork and ball skills necessary to be successful. Weekly league scrimmages are then held on Saturday mornings where your teammates will be different every week so players have an opportunity to play a variety of roles on a team, and to be free to use the skills they are still developing, in a game environment. All skill sessions, and scrimmages are organized by experienced YMCA coaching staff with 10+ years of coaching, and skill instruction experience. Game and practice times subject to change.
High School Basketball League
Grab your friends and join our Fall High School Basketball League! Players will need to sign up as a team. Games for this league are played on Sundays. Click here to register
Join the YMCA Youth Volleyball League where participants will have the opportunity to explore interests through recreational and competitive play. All teams will have one set practice night per week and one game per week with a playoff tournament at the end of the year. Practice schedules will be announced. Youth Volleyball Developmental League (grades 2-8)

Weekly league scrimmages are then held on Thursday nights where your teammates will be different every week so players have an opportunity to play a variety of roles on a team, and to be free to use the skills they are still developing, in a game environment.
