The Kroehler Family YMCA Educational Preschool is proud to offer a safe, educational and nurturing environment for preschool children ages 2 ½ through 4 years. We strive to provide a stimulating classroom environment which fosters learning as well as curiosity, creativity and compassion for others, regardless of background.

Our program goals are to demonstrate and teach the character development values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility, while increasing self confidence, independence and leadership skills. We pride ourselves on providing opportunities for age appropriate educational experiences and stimulating an awareness of emotions and feelings to assist children in learning constructive ways to express themselves.

*Potty training is not required for Tot time. Potty training is preferred but not required for Fab Fours. Parents should be available to return to change soiled diapers.

The curriculum is planned to promote fun and learning for your child, as we strive to support the needs and desires of the families in our program.

Little Explorers (ages 2-3)

This class offers opportunities for social engagement, time to encourage curiosity and assistance in developing fine and large motor skills in a fun, caring preschool class. Emphasis is placed on the child’s method of discovery, not on the end result. Potty training is not required. Parent must be available to return to change soiled diapers should the need arise.

Discovery 4’s (ages 3-4)

Children are exposed to hands-on learning, age-appropriate literacy and daily circle activities. Children will engage in activities that will develop fine and large motor skills as well as social and emotional skills. (Program meets M/W/F)

Discover K’s (ages 4-5)

Children are exposed to hands-on learning with an emphasis on specific school-readiness skills, and literacy. Children will have many opportunities for individual development that allows for creative and engaging scholastic growth. (Program meets M/W/F).


Getting Messy (ages 3-5)

Hey moms and dads! If you aren’t a fan of cleaning up after messy projects then let your child do them with us! We will have fun making a mess and getting dirty while we make our own play dough, finger paint, use different art techniques and more! Click here to register

Messy Hands (ages 2-3)

Introduction class for your toddler’s sense of touch, exploring the wonders of paint, play-dough, mud and many other textures. 

Cheer (ages 4-6)

Introductory classes teach age-appropriate skills the fundamentals of cheer. Techniques taught in tumbling, stunting and cheerleading. Click here to register

Tumbling (ages 3-5)

Our tumbling program focuses on fun while teaching beginning fundamentals of tumbling. Every lesson includes goal-oriented games and activities that make learning new skills fun! Click here to register

Preschool Ballet (ages 3-5)

Children love to dance, move and have fun, and that’s what this class is all about! Please dress in clothes that are easy to move in or choose from the optional dress code below. Girls: leotard, tights and ballet shoes. Boys: white t-shirt, dark shorts and ballet shoes. Through games and imagination children will learn spacial awareness, coordination, basic terminology, technique and rhythm. Click here to register

Silly Science (ages 3-5)

Children love experiments that ooze, drip and bubble or bounce! Kids are active participants in the mess and fun. This class will be a blast and everyone will participate in hands-on experiments to see why simple things mix and work. Click here to register

For over 30 years, the YMCA Safe ‘n Sound Program has provided youthcentered enrichment programs designed to meet the developmental needs of school age children with an emphasis on experiential learning, social and emotional development and the promotion of healthy living.
