At the Y, we’re committed to providing the best possible experience for everyone who walks through our doors. To help us continue improving our programs and facilities, last November we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. This feedback was very helpful to our staff, and we take your comments seriously. We will be addressing your concerns immediately and would also like to say thank you.
Thank you for your comments regarding friendly member service staff. We appreciate the work of our member service team and they enjoy their relationships with our wonderful members! Your responses also indicated high satisfaction around feeling safe at the Y and enjoying our swimming pools. Many rated our child care highly as well. We are passing these comments on to our staff in these areas.
We also recognize there are areas where we can improve your member experience. Member satisfaction with our locker rooms and overall cleanliness was lower than we’d like it to be. We appreciate your feedback and will be improving these two areas immediately. We have contacted our cleaning company and have shared our results. We are instituting a new level of accountability with their staff to ensure all areas are being cleaned on a daily basis. This will include devoting more staff hours to the upkeep of the locker rooms. In addition, we will be refinishing the bottom of all lockers and refreshing paint on the walls of all locker rooms. We will also be adding additional stools and benches.
Finally, we’d like to thank all of the members who participated in the survey. There were many other comments that our staff will be addressing in their respective departments.
