5 Tips to Eat Better in 2016

Many people believe skipping meals promotes weight loss. It is actually the opposite."

It promotes weight gain.  One of the many reasons we take on bad habits is that we are not eating enough.  Here are some tips from Cheryl Forbert R.D. chef and nutritionist on the Biggest Loser.

  1. Don’t skip meals- it actually promotes weight gain.
  2. Have 3 meals and 2 snacks a day
  3. Focus on quality not quantity - choose lean protein, healthful fats, whole grains, vegetables and fruits.
  4. Avoid sugary drinks
  5. Beware of emotional eating- know the difference between physical hunger and eating out of boredom, sad or depressed.
