The Fry Y is 20 Years Strong

March 01, 2016

We will be celebrating all year long!"

In December, 1995, the Fry Family YMCA opened it’s doors to the Naperville community. That one month alone saw almost 800 new memberships join the former Naperville Area YMCA as it’s second branch. Swimming lessons and Group Exercise classes began in January, and we have been growing and going strong ever since. With two building additions under our belt we are proud to boast of a state of the art facility that continues to change with the demand, yet still provides the core programs that make the YMCA who we are.

We want to thank the over 200 members who joined in our first year, and are still here! Look on our Community Board in the Member Lounge as we list each month our legacy members!

We also want to thank ALL of our members for making our Y a true community. As evidenced in our hallways and classes, we have people from all over the world who come and work out together, share coffee and conversation together. They become friends while getting and staying healthy. We are so proud to continue to implement the Y’s mission into everything that we do. This year we want to celebrate you!

Look for the hashtag #fryy20yearsstrong. Use it as you check in on social media. Take a selfie in front of our Selfie Banner by the Greeter Desk and tweet it out! Let’s create some fun!
