2 YEAR OLD PROGRAM

9-11:30 a.m. Are you noticing your two year old is full of energy and craving independence? Have them come be a part of our 2 year old program. Our time with your child will include learning and social opportunities like creative arts, science, movement and imaginative play. Your child will begin building pro-social skills by engaging with other children in free play. The class will be offered two days per week: families have the option to pick the two days attended M-Th. Fees include a snack each day your child attends. Please note that staff is not permitted to change diapers. If daily minimum enrollment is not met, you may be asked to switch days. The class is now offered in three month intervals to give children an opportunity to continuously work on skills with no interruption. Click here to register

ALL-DAY PRESCHOOL

The first five years of a child’s life are crucial for lifelong success. At the Y, our DCFS-licensed preschool programs encourage children to discover their creativity while learning the problem-solving and social skills that will prepare them for the first day of Kindergarten and beyond. We’ll introduce your child to pre-writing, literacy, art, music, math, and science through hands-on activities. Our early childhood educators use the Creative Curriculum (based on the Illinois Early Learning Standards) and undergo continual professional development to ensure our classrooms are using the best possible practices. Children who are 3-5 years of age will be placed in the same classroom. Mixed-age groups provide children with opportunities to interact with children younger and older than them. We have a variety of schedule choices to meet your families needs. We offer full day, half day as well as before and after care options. Click here to register
