Our Fall/Spring Basketball League place an emphasis on fun, skill development, equal participation, teamwork and sportsmanship. Volunteer coaches will cover the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, defense and shooting, as well as the rules and strategies of the game. Players practice and play games with IHSA certified officials. Teams will practice on Thursdays and have games once a week on Saturday. This league is offered to grades 2-12.
The 3 on 3 Basketball League offers High School students an opportunity to create their own team of 3-5 players. Games are officiated and played at the Elmhurst YMCA. The season is 3 weeks long with a tournament on the 4th week.
Are you looking for an opportunity for your child to learn the fundamentals of basketball, while competing in a fun and friendly environment? Then our YBall league is the perfect fit for you and your family. Our YBall Leagues are focused on developing your child's skills and overall enjoyment for the sport of basketball. Teams will have volunteer coaches, with IHSA Certified referees for every game, for all age levels. All teams will have one practice a week (Monday through Friday) and one game a week (Saturday or Sunday) with a playoff tournament at the end of the year. Estimated 9-12 total games.
Grades 9-12 are coed, with Grades 2-8 having separate leagues for each gender. Evaluations will be held Saturday, December: 8 for all 4-8 graders.
Early bird pricing (Member/Non-member: $205/$250) ends on Monday, November 12, 2018.
The YMCA offers a fun and competitive environment that is suitable for all players. Teams will practice once a week on Tuesdays and have games once a week on Sunday afternoons. The players will learn skills such as bumping, setting, passing and serving. The league is coed and open to 3-8 grades with grades 3-5 and 6-8 grouped together to create teams.
Flag Football is a great way to learn the game of football without the contact. Players will learn a variety of skills including but not limited to catching, running, defending, learning plays, sportsmanship, and flag pulling. This league is coed and offered to K-6 grades, with grades K-1, 2-3, and 4-6 grouped together to create teams.
