At the Elmhurst YMCA, we’re committed to providing the best possible experience for everyone who walks through our doors. To help us continue improving our programs and facilities, last November we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. Today, we’d like to share the results of those surveys with you, as well as a few steps we’re taking to make the Y even better.
According to the survey, we’re doing a lot of things well, including offering a variety of group exercise classes and quality instructors, a wide variety of weight and cardio equipment, convenient hours of operation, friendly staff, a safe and welcoming environment, and concerted efforts to keep you informed of special events.
However, surveyed members did note a few areas of concern, so we’re taking immediate steps for improvement. First, effective March 1, 2017 we will have a new cleaning company working at our facility, as well as 73 additional hours of porter service to help keep our locker rooms, restrooms and multi-purpose rooms clean. Keeping our facility clean is important to us too, but we can’t do it alone…at times, we need your help! We’ll provide spray bottles with a safe, mild cleaning solution in the adult locker rooms. If you spill something or need to tidy up, feel free to use the cleaner. Your help is very much appreciated!
We’re also working on more effective and timely communication. We’re currently checking our member email list to ensure we have your correct email address. We don’t want you to miss any information! And we’ll also start posting clear expectations for what you can expect when participating in each class or program.
