Irving Park YMCA Welcomes New Executive Director

October 19, 2018

Join us in welcoming Ronald Anderson, the Irving Park YMCA’s new executive director. Ron began his career with YMCA of Metro Chicago in 2014 and has served at two centers."

We are excited to announce that Ronald Anderson is the executive director of the Irving Park YMCA. Ron started his career with the YMCA of Metro Chicago in 2014 as membership experience supervisor at the Lattof YMCA in Des Plaines. He later joined the Irving Park YMCA team as the Member Experience Director in 2016 and most recently as the interim associate executive director.

Ron is excited to continue to make the YMCA a focal point and destination for the Old Irving Park community. By leveraging current relationships with both YMCA members and community partners, he feels strongly about the opportunities available for increasing awareness for the YMCA’s nonprofit mission and raising funds for financial assistance for children, teens, adults, and families who may need financial assistance for YMCA memberships and programs. While serving as the member experience director, Ron helped raise the level of the member experience by collaborating with the program team to ensure the center was meeting the needs of the community. In his most recent role as the interim associate executive director, he provided the necessary day-to-day leadership for the Irving Park team, while creating a supportive environment to help achieve the center’s goals.

Ron earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Northern Illinois University. He currently lives with his wife, Patti, and dog, Chase, in the Western suburbs. Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, Ron is committed to driving the mission home here in Chicago.
