Announcing the winners of the 2016 Teen Awards

May 26, 2016

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago celebrates the leadership, peacemaking and sportsmanship of the teens in our community"

On Saturday, May 21, YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago teens were recognized for their outstanding efforts in peacemaking, leadership, sportsmanship and service at the first annual Teen Awards Ceremony. Youth were nominated from every corner of the association, from the Y Sports Complex in Naperville to the South Chicago Y.

The seven teens below have gone above and beyond to serve the Y. At the awards ceremony—organized by our Executive Teen Council—youth, parents and staff had the chance to see some of our teens’ amazing work in art and dance throughout the program. In addition to congratulating all of the winners below, we’d also like to congratulate each and every nominee.
