YMCA’s 2023 Day of Giving

Our 165th birthday — Wednesday, March 22 — is right around the corner. And to mark this exciting occasion, we’re holding our annual YMCA Day of Giving!

At the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, we play for fun, and we play for progress: All the joyful actions that bring us together and the crucial community services that improve livelihoods. Operating across 14 Y centers, five camps, and nearly 100 extension sites, we’re one of the largest social enterprises in Chicagoland — and in many ways, one of the largest playgrounds!

Each year, more than 300,000 individuals rely on the YMCA of Metro Chicago as a space to connect, grow and play. While we might play in different ways today, what we've learned in 165 years is that our communities need the Y more than ever.
