2024 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson at the Irving Park YMCA

Are you ready for a splashing good time?

Dive into a worldwide event all about empowering and lifesaving skills! Join us at the Irving Park YMCA on Thursday, June 20, for the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) — an initiative that promotes the importance of teaching youth to swim.

This lesson is FREE and open to the community. Day-of registration for WLSL begins at 3:15 p.m. The lesson will run from 3:30 to 4 p.m. While we accept walk-ins, pre-registration is preferred and greatly appreciated!

Learning how to swim helps prevent drowning. Water competency is a lifesaving skill and a vital layer of protection alongside constant, close, and capable supervision. Be a member of the WLSL team, and join the tens of thousands of kids and adults on six continents learning lifesaving skills and helping build awareness about this vital cause!
