Located in the Sankofa Wellness Village, the West Garfield Park Y offers programs and spaces designed to support the whole community. From youth enrichment and family programming to wellness opportunities for all ages, the Y is here to meet the people where they are and grow alongside them. As a trusted neighborhood anchor on the West Side, the West Garfield Park Y is committed to access, equity, and opportunity, creating a safe and supportive environment where everyone belongs.

Addressing a variety of needs, the Sankofa Village Wellness Center provides an exercise facility and comprehensive healthcare for all ages, as well as drop-in childcare services, a community-owned credit union, and financial education classes. This center is designed for collaboration and impact with the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago, Rush University System for Health, West Side United, Erie Family Health Centers, and Leaders Network Credit Union.
