Karate

Saturday 9:30-11:30AM

Beginner: Tuesday & Thursday 6:30-7:30PM

Advanced: Tuesday & Thursday 7:30-8:30PM

Sutdents of all ages are invited to mind and body martial arts. Mind and body martial arts is a compilation of various karate styles designed to develop and encourage pro-socialization skills, a higher level of self esteem and to increase ability to focus on the task at hand.  Students will be involved in a structured program that offers experiences in team work, goal setting, personal achievement, discipline and self control.  This class covers all levels of students. Students will be taught everthing they need to know to earn a while belt up to a black belt level. There will be some physical contract in the class and all students are required to purchase her/her own uniform.

Kettlebells

Wednesday and/or Friday 7:30-8:30pm

Kettlebells will challenge your core in and unconventional way, making your core stronger and more functional while delivering remarkable results. This calls if suitable for all fitness levels and no experience is necessary. Staff member, Jose will run you through a a full-body warm-up and progress into learning the fundamentals of kettlebell training. You will practice kettlebell wings, lifts, presses, squats and halos, turkish-get-ups, cardiovascular endurance and enhance flexibility. Kettlebells is also a class part of our winter Activ8 program!

Bring a Friend to Swim Class

We are proud of our YMCA Swim Program and want to share it with others who may have never tried us out.  We are offering a free, bring your friend to swim class opportunity where each participant is welcome to bring a friend to class during the week of February 29th through March 6th, 2016.  Each participant is required to sign up to ensure we are utilizing proper student to teacher ratio.  If students are interested in joining the class permanently they can register that day! On top of that, if participants register for a class and become a new member, thier joiners fee will be waived and the friend will receive one month free membership. What a great deal!
