Piranhas Swim Team
The Sage YMCA Piranhas Swim Team embraces the core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Furthermore, the team seeks to provide opportunities for social and emotional development, a physical and recreational outlet, and an atmosphere of good sportsmanship, teamwork and fun for all.
The Piranhas Swim Team is for swimmers of all abilities, from ages 5-21. Our dedicated and experienced coaches will provide each swimmer with the maximum opportunity for development.

NEW to the Piranhas?
All new swimmers must attend a try-out. Coaches will then make group recommendations based on age, ability and availability. Try-outs are Monday, April 16 at 6 pm. Please contact Steve with any questions.
Practice Groups: Prerequisites, Descriptions, Times & Fees
The Summer Season will run May 14-July 20. Please note there are 2 sets of time listed for each practice group. The first set of times will be for May 14-5. The 'Summer' times will run after school lets out, fron June 6-July 20.
Little Piranhas |
This group is for 10 & under beginners. Swimmers must be able to swim 1 length of freestyle and 1 length of backstroke. |

Copper |
This group is for 12 & under intermediate swimmers. Swimmers must have knowledge of, and be legal in, all four competitive strokes. Copper swimmers will continue to master the strokes and prepare for competition. |

Bronze |
This group is for 12 & under intermediate swimmers with at least one year of competitive experience. Swimmers will continue to improve technique, but must have strong knowledge of all four strokes. |

Silver |
This group is for 9-13 year old advanced swimmers. Swimmers must be proficient in all four competitive strokes. Silver swimmers are encouraged to attend as many meets as possible. |

Gold |
Gold swimmers must be over 11 years old and possess advanced skills in all four of the competitive strokes. Gold swimmers are strongly encouraged to attend four practices a week and attend all meets. |
Monday- Friday 5:45-7:30 pm Summer: 9:00-10:45 am |
Fee: $325 |
Platinum |
This is the most advanced and competitive group. Platinum swimmers must be over 12 years old, and show maturity and dedication to practicing and competing. These swimmers are expected to attend all practices and all meets. |

Registration Information
Registration is open and the season is underway. Please contact Coach Steve for a try-out if interested in the summer program.
The Sage Y Piranhas take part in both YMCA and USA Swimming competitions. All team members must be Sage YMCA members and registered members of USA Swimming. The fee to join USA Swimming is $60 and will be collected at the start of the season.
Payment plans are available upon request. Payment plans require 50% down at the time of registration.
