Give your child a summer to remember!

Going to a summer camp is not only a memory that your child will cherish forever, but it also has the potential to change their life.  Summer camp allows your child the opportunity to learn new skills, form wonderful relationships with their peers and learn more about themselves. The YMCA’s Safe ‘n Sound Summer Camp program offers 3 convenient camp locations throughout Naperville and Aurora.

At all Y Camps, we create an exciting, safe environment for kids to have an unforgettable summer of fun. And while they’re taking part in unique experiences and adventures, they’re also building self-esteem, developing interpersonal skills and making lasting friendships and memories.

Our camps are accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA). The ACA enforces rigorous national standards which ensure the safety and quality of the programming offered throughout the summer. Our youth centered core programming has been designed to support the experiential learning of each child engaged and support the peace of mind of parents knowing their child is safe and having a fun summer.

Our summer camp program includes:

  • Skill Stars—focusing on skill building and development
  • Imagination Fascination—focusing on creativity and learning
  • Summer Wonders—focusing on academic enrichment
  • Stronger Together—focusing on self-esteem and values

All of our camps also go on weekly field trips every Wednesday! Examples of some field trips include Lincoln Park Zoo, Schaumburg Boomers game and Raging Waves Water Park. In addition, our camps offer two swimming days a week at nearby water parks. Our camps also provide indoor and outdoor activities and feature large parking lots for the safest and easiest drop-off and pick-up.

All Safe 'n Sound camps have most staff working come from our before- and after-school programs in District 203, 204 and 129. Staff undergo days of extensive training that includes CPR/First Aid, behavior management, curriculum design, child abuse prevention and tools for making a successful child. All our staff are passionate about making an impact in a child's life and making sure that the mission and values of the YMCA are being instilled each day at camp.
