Search Begins for New Senior Vice President, Mission Advancement

March 24, 2014

“The new Senior Vice President of Mission Advancement will be pivotal in advancing our mission. Our new SVP will lead a strong team of professionals in support of academic readiness, character development, youth violence prevention, fitness and healthy living,” said Richard Malone, President and CEO, YMCA of Metro Chicago. “This individual will drive meaningful change by promoting wellness in our community, strengthening existing partnerships and forging new ones throughout the Chicago region.”

“The YMCA is Chicagoland’s leading nonprofit strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility,” said Witt/Kieffer’s Luke, a longtime YMCA supporter and former board member of the Atlanta chapter. “This organization already impacts hundreds of thousands of lives annually, and calls for an ambitious, mission-driven leader who is ready to lead the organization’s fundraising efforts and help shape its future.”

The YMCA engages Chicago area residents through its 22 membership centers, five camps and hundreds of extension sites. Under the leadership of Malone since 2009, the YMCA has undergone significant transformation and is poised to successfully execute a three-year strategic plan. The new Senior Vice President is expected to oversee fundraising to support the organization’s strategic vision for a better and lasting impact in Chicago.

While there is no set timeline for this search, the YMCA of Metro Chicago and Witt/Kieffer are already working to identify qualified candidates for the role.
