Diane Cook became motivated to become a personal trainer when she realized how much she loved helping others reach their goals. Being a role model for her clients is very important to her, and she enjoys working out and taking care of her body. Diane received her personal trainer certificate from Cooper Institute. She is also a cycling and CPR instructor. Her personal training techniques revolve around intensity, functionality and persistence. She received her teaching degree with a coaching emphasis from Western Illinois University and is currently a teacher for grades K-12. Diane enjoys playing racquetball, paddle boarding and kayaking in her free time. She loves to run marathons and challenge herself to reach new limits. Her favorite post workout snack is Greek yogurt mixed with blueberries, bananas and strawberries. She likes working out with no music, so she has no distractions and can just concentrate on her workout. Her favorite overall body workout involves a barbell for a combination of deadlifts, back row, presses and squatting. Diane has been a personal trainer for the YMCA for the past 6 years and her ultimate goal is to help people change their lifestyles for the better. Her favorite motivational quote is "Practice what you preach, because saying and doing something are two completely different things."
