The Kroehler Family YMCA, celebrated the 26th annual Healthy Kids Day on Saturday, April 19. Healthy Kids Day, the Y's nationwide initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families, was celebrated at centers across Chicagoland. Despite the cold, rainy weather, the event attracted a big crowd.
Naperville Councilwoman Becky Anderson read books to children inside a classroom. Firefighters from the Naperville Fire Department brought a fire truck for kids to explore. Youth in the Y's dance program performed for an audience, and tables and booths offered food, crafts and different activities that were led by staff, volunteers, College of DuPage medical students, and vendors.
