Meet Joseph Anderson
Joseph started coming to the Y when he was 5 years old. He started taking a class taught by Mary French call “Kids on the Move.” He also had a lot of fun doing James’s “Kids we’ve got your Running Now,” and ran his first 5kwhen he was 7 and placed third in his age group.
Joseph started swimming lessons at Indian Boundary YMCA as a Polliwog and moved his way up to fish. Watching Joseph from session to session become a stronger swimmer was incredible his Mother Katerina Anderson says.
Joseph has been an incredible volunteer; he has assisted many times helping to set up fitness classes and always helps at events like the Halloween Party and the 5k/10k Run.
Joseph is now 13 years old and still loves Indian Boundary YMCA. His favorite thing to do now is workout in the Fitness Center and goes to Club Saturday Night; his current rank in Boy Scouts is “Star” and is working towards his “Eagle” and hope to do his Eagle Project at Indian Boundary YMCA. Another goal of Joseph’s is to work in the Membership Department at Indian Boundary when he turns 16.
