You’re the Who. Here’s the Where & When for YMCA Camp Independence!

Camp Independence is located at 32405 N. US Highway 12 (Ingleside, IL 60041) in northern Illinois which is one hour north of Chicago, one hour south of Milwaukee, and 30 minutes west of Gurnee. 

Our main lodge office is typically open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.!

Please note that summer is a busy season and we may not be in the office at all times.

Discover All YMCA Camp Independence Has to Offer!

Camp Independence is located on the lovely Fish Lake and spans 350 acres of rich woodlands, open fields, rolling hills, and nature trails. Our building was designed for helping campers who have spina bifida gain independence, and it features an accessible kitchen and bathrooms. We offer campers a range of adventurous and relaxing activities in this building, across our sports fields and archery range, and via our accessible lakefront area.
