Summer is just around the corner! Registration Begins February 14, 2016!

Camp is comprised of 12 weeks of a variety of camp activities beginning June 13, 2016 and ending September 2, 2016. Each week is assigned a specific theme and most activities will relate to this theme for your child to enjoy. The High Ridge YMCA offers camp for youth ages 3 year old to teens.

Preschool Camp
Ages: 3-4 year olds
3 Day: 7 a.m-6 p.m.
5 Day: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
*All campers must be potty trained

Kiddie Camp
Grade: Entering Kindergarten
Monday - Friday
Full: 7 a.m.- 6 p.m.
Half: 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Adventure I Camp
Grade: Entering 1st-3rd Grade
Monday - Friday (5 or 3 Day Options)
Time: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

Adventure II Camp
Grade: Entering 4th-6th Grade
Monday - Friday (5 or 3 Day Options) 
Time: 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

Teen Camp
Grade: Entering 7th & older
Pre-Camp: 7 a.m.-9 a.m.
Camp: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Post-Camp: 4-6 p.m.

* To ensure that all campers are safe when arriving and departing from camp we ask that all campers must be signed in by an authorized adult by 9am. All campers must be signed out by an authorized adult with proper photo ID every day.

 

NEW SPECIALTY CAMPS THIS SUMMER! 

Our half day specialty camps each run for 1 week (dates are listed). Each week, campers will participate in activities specific to each camp theme. Lunch will be provided by the Greater Chicago Food Depository every day. A weekly field trip is included with each camp (British Soccer Camp not included). Please note that on field trip days, campers need to arrive to camp by 9am and picked up from camp by 4pm.

SPECIALTY CAMP - DAY CAMP TRANSFER
Our staff will be able to transfer your camper to and from his/her specialty camp into our Day Camp if you choose to register your child for both camps.

BASKETBALL CAMP

Kids, ages 6-12, will learn and improve upon the fundamentals of basketball including dribbling, shooting, passing and defense. Camp will also consist of individual adn group drills for advanced skill building. Through 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 game play, team work is an essential part of basketball that will be focued on throughout the week. Kids will not only imporve upon their overall game skills, but will also engage in social interaction and have a fun and safe place to play the game of basketball.

WATER POLO CAMP

Water polo camp is designed to introduce and imporve the water polo game and let you have fun doing it! While fitness is a key aspect of great water polo players, our camp philosophy focuses on fundamental position, ball skills and scrimmaging. From basic defensive positions, to passing and scoring, this camp is perfect for those wanting an introduction to the sport!

*Participants must be 6 years or older, and must be comfortable in deep water without a flotation device.

LEGO CAMP

Campers spend the week learning to design a variety of structures using LEGOs. Campers will explore concepts in physics and engineering while playing with their favorite creations. This is a hands-on camp for all LEGO lovers!

SUPER SCIENTISTS CAMP

Hey Super Scientists! Are you ready to explore this summer? Campers will learn and participate in a variety of hand on experiments thorughout the week that will spark their imagination!

Dates: July 25-29
Time: 9am-12:30pm
Ages: 6-12
Fee: $100M/$150NM

 

ARTRAGEOUS ARTISTS CAMP

Create and explore a variety of different art media including: collage, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, working with clay and photography.

Dates: August 1-5

MERMAID CAMP

Synchronized swimming is the perfect combination of dance, gymnastics, music and water! If your camper enjoys any of those activities, they will love synchronized swimming. This week long session will introduce your child to the sport while enhancing their flexibility, endurance and overall comfort in the water. Basic synchronized swimming skills are taught along with a routine that is choreographed to music!

*Participants numst be 6 years or older and must be comfortable in deep water without a flotation device.

FOOTBALL CAMP

Kids, ages 6-12, will engage in touch, non-contact football during this week long camp. The basics of the game will be learned adn each position will be taught. Offensive and defensive drills will be combined with 7 on 7 game play and mini games. Kids will learn the game and strategy of football, while being safe and a part of a team.

BRITISH SOCCER CAMP

Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp is the most popular occer camp in the country. Over a thousand Challenger coaches, each year, have helped the company develop one of the most innovative approaches to coaching youth soccer in the U.S.

Our experieneced staff study the game at all levels and we have identified the key techniques and skills that your playes need to work on and master to reach their true potential.

Each day includes individual foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages and a daily World Cup tournament.

Each camper will recieve a FREE Soccer Camp T-Shirt, A FREE Soccer Ball, a FREE Giant Soccer Poster and a personalized Skills Performance Evaluation. In addition, any child who signs up online at least 45 days prior to camp will receive a genuine British Soccer Replica Jersey.

Payment and Financial Aid Information

DON'T WAIT! You can make payments to your child's Summer Camp experience as early as February 1st, 2015. So reduce the burden this summer and get camp paid off early with your tax return!

Make sure you complete your Action for Children paperwork early for more savings! You can pick them up at the High Ridge YMCA!

Camp payments are due every Monday, the week prior to when your campers begins camp. Campers will not be allowed to attend camp if payment is not made.

Day-of Registration is not allowed. Campers will be asked to attend camp the following day (after payment has been made) to any last minute registrations, depending on staff to camper ratios.


Payment/Refund/Transfers

Your completed registration form, along with a $30 deposit is required at the time of sign up for each week of camp for each child you wish to enroll in our summer camp program. This deposit will hold your camper’s spot for the summer and will be applied to the total cost of each week. Your balance of the fee per week is due according to the payment schedule. If you do not follow the payment schedule, you will be charged a $15 late fee. DEPOSIT AND CAMP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

A $15 Late Registration Fee will be applied to your payment if you register for any camp after the Wednesday your camp registration fee is due (4 days prior to the start of a new week of camp). For example, if you register for Week 1 (June 13-17) before June 9th, you will not have to pay the late fee. If you register for Week 1 on or after June 8th, you will be assessed the late fee.

Day-of Registration is not allowed. Your camper will be asked to attend camp the following day (after payment has been made) depending on staff to camper ratios.

 

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is made available on a limited basis for families that are in need. Confidential applications are available at the Member Service Desk during regular business hours. Financial assistance is available for traditional day camp only, there is no financial assistance for speciality camps. Click here for more information.
