With Your Help, We’re Making the Greater LaGrange Y Even Better

To continue improving our programs and facilities, we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. Today, we’d like to share the results of those surveys with you, as well as a few steps we’re taking to make the Greater LaGrange Y even better."

At the Greater La Grange YMCA, we’re committed to providing the best possible experience for everyone who walks through our doors. To help us continue improving our programs and facilities, last November we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. Today, we’d like to share the results of those surveys with you, as well as a few steps we’re taking to make the Y even better.

Thank you for your postive feedback and comments regarding our front desk staff, child care area and free weight area. We pride ourselves on having a welcoming staff and we are so pleased that you noticed. It is very important to us that your children enjoy our Y Kids Zone and child care area, as this makes it easier for you and your family to come into the center. The ladies that work child care are fabulous! Also, we know that our facility is not huge, but we try our best to provide as much equipment and space as possible to our members to work out. Our weight machines and free weights are there for all members to utilize and we’re glad you enjoy them.

Some areas where our members would like to see improvements include our locker rooms, the overall cleanliness of the facility and our group exercise classes. We recently (since getting the results of the survey) have completed a few repairs in the locker rooms including a deep clean, new tiles, lighting and shower curtains. We hope that these improvements help and we will continue to address the locker rooms on a daily basis. We are also working with the cleaning company, which is under new management, and hope these changes will take care of more of our daily cleaning needs. Our free and paid group ex classes are one of our favorite perks for members. We are communicating with instructors and members to find days, times and a variety of classes that we can offer to accommodate everyone's preferences the best we can.
