We offer a variety of kids classes to keep the whole family active!"

Currently running programs include:

For ages 3-6 years’ old

Stretch and movement 10:15-10:45am on Mondays (FREE for members)

This face-paced exercise class will help improve coordination and balance while working off some excess energy!

Preschool Yoga and stretch 9:45a-10:15a Wednesdays (FREE for members)

Yoga for kids teaches the basic poses, breathing, and building blocks of yoga. Mats and yoga props are provided.

 

Ages 6-12

Gamercise 6:00-7:00pm Mondays (FREE for members)

Stay in shape while learning new exercises, drills, and games. Every class is different and all fitness levels are welcome!

Youth Yoga and Stretch Wednesdays 7:10-7:55pm (FREE for Members)

Yoga for kids teaches the basic poses, breathing, and building blocks of yoga. Mats and yoga props are provided.

 

Ages 10-13

Youth Boxing Thursdays 5:00-5:45pm (FREE for Members)

Kids work with and instructor to learn the basics of boxing. Includes individual and full class participation.

 

Upcoming for the Sumer of 2017

Youth Bike Club Tuesdays 9:30am-11:30am ($30m/ $60 nm)

Children 5 years and up, meet us at the 26th Street Woods West for a 2-hour bike ride! All children must bring a bike, helmet and water bottle. A healthy snack will be provided.

Youth Walking Club Thursdays 9:30am- 11:30am ($30m / $60 nm)

Children 7 years and up, meet us at the YMCA for a 2 hour supervised walk on the local Forest Preserve trails. All children must bring a water bottle, sunscreen and bug spray. A healthy snack will be provided.

Youth Conditioning Tuesdays/ Thursdays 4:30-5:30pm ($135 m/ $270 nm)

Develop your motor abilities and skills by utilizing movements and exercises that improve speed, agility, quickness strength and endurance, relative strength and flexibility. Learn the same principles and techniques used by athletes for that extra advantage in performance. Build the foundation and the groundwork for later years of development in a safe and healthy environment. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and no experience is necessary.
