What is Pilates Reformer?
Using a sophisticated system of springs, straps and pulleys, a reformer allows instructors to utilize over 100 unique exercises to deliver amazing results! The reformer uses a gliding platform on which one can sit, kneel, stand or lie on their front, back or side. The user pushes and pulls off a stationary bar using his or her arms, legs, wrists and ankles to slide back and forth along rails. This is done in a controlled manner, using tension springs to work specific muscles.
