With Your Help, We’re Making the Fry Family Y Even Better

To continue improving our programs and facilities, we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. Today, we’d like to share the results of those surveys with you, as well as a few steps we’re taking to make the Fry Family Y even better."

At the Y, we’re committed to providing the best possible experience for everyone who walks through our doors. To help us continue improving our programs and facilities, last November we sent a survey to a random sampling of members for feedback and suggestions. This feedback was very helpful to our staff, and we take your comments seriously. We will be addressing your concerns immediately and would also like to say thank you.

Thank you for your positive comments regarding our member service and child care staff. We appreciate the work of these staff teams and they enjoy their relationships with our wonderful members! We are passing these comments on to our staff. Your responses also indicated high satisfaction around feeling safe at the Y and for the Y being a welcoming, family-friendly environment. These are primary goals of the Y and we are happy to continue this focus.

We also recognize there are areas where we can improve your member experience. Member satisfaction with our locker rooms and overall cleanliness was lower than we’d like it to be. We appreciate your feedback and are directing more resources to these important areas. We recently reorganized our maintenance department to provide better coverage to our facility. This includes the addition of female staff to monitor the women’s locker rooms. We are also sharing these results with our cleaning company to identify areas we need to improve immediately. Another area of improvement identified is communication and follow up with our members. This will be an emphasis with our leadership team to ensure we improve our communication to members whether it be about a repair or some other important issue.

Finally, we’d like to thank all of the members who participated in the survey. There were many other comments that our staff will be addressing in their respective departments.
